Saracens Head star baker Jessica-Ellen (6) raises funds for charity
A six year old star baker has raised money for charity thanks to her excellent skills.
Jessica-Ellen Morris, who lives in Saracens Head, has raised more than £100 for Comic Relief after selling lovingly baked and decorated cakes to friends and family.
Jessica's mum, Donna Morris, says she is very pleased after a fun baking activity brought in the pennies.
She said: "I had seen in Sainsbury's that they had the bake sale kits, so I bought one really just as something for us to do as we've always baked together.
"It's something Jessica really loves to do, so I put a post on Facebook to say this is what we had done and that we were selling the cakes to family.
"After that, Facebook friends were contacting me to say they wanted some as well!
"We sold all of the first batch and then there was still demand for cakes so we had to make more.
" Nanny Shirley helped out by baking another batch which Jessica then decorated.
"We delivered the cakes to everyone who wanted one, all in the local area and we made sure we were wearing masks and socially distanced."
Comic Relief sent Jessica, who is a pupil at John Harrox Primary School in Moulton, a certificate to recognise her achievement of raised £100.10 for the charity.
Donna said: "She's really pleased.
"She's such a kind girl and she loves doing things for charity.
"What started just as a little bit of fun at home to keep her busy went on to raise quite a bit of money for charity!"
