Student Jack Simpson took a deep breath and had his entire body waxed in aid of Cancer Research.
Jack is studying mechanics at Boston College: Spalding’s Red Lion Street campus, and with the recent opening of the on-site hair and beauty training salon, the opportunity to raise money for a good cause was right on his doorstep.
Students from the Style Academy Salon were happy to donate their time, ensuring those who donated got to see Jack endure the pain of waxing.
He raised over £200 and was delighted with the response.
Mandla Ndhlovu, Motor Vehicle Lecturer for Boston College Spalding said: “The students were keen to raise money for the cause and Jack bravely volunteered to be waxed as it was an act that could incorporate other students from the Spalding campus.
“They all put in a lot of effort to source donations and it was a light-hearted fundraising activity that they could have a little bit of fun with.”
