There was a double celebration at Action HomeCare in Long Sutton last week.

The home care agency put on a special party at its Market House base to belatedly mark the Queen’s 90th birthday and also celebrated an award.

The business, which offers personal care and home services to the elderly and those with health problems in their own homes, has been ranked ‘outstanding’ by the Care Quality Commission.

As well as the ‘outstanding’ mark for care, the business was ranked ‘good’ for safety, effectiveness, responsiveness and leadership.

Despite the birthday celebrations being a little late, patriotism was still strong at the tea party, with customers, family, friends and staff getting together. Manager Janice Gant said that the event went really well thanks to the help of her “brilliant” staff.
