Engineers are continuing to look into the causes of why a sink hole keeps appearing in a Holbeach road.

Boston Road South has been shut for weeks as Lincolnshire County Council and Anglian Water continue with their investigations.

The council says that it has now completed its series of investigations in respect of surface water drainage systems and has begun preparing a plan for the road repair and reinstatement.

Anglian Water began carrying out its investigations earlier this week.

A spokesperson said: “We are currently carrying out CCTV surveys on Boston Road South in Holbeach, ahead of some planned proactive work to keep our sewer resilient.

"This work has been planned to take place while Highways carry out repairs to the road, and we are continuing to work together to ensure both the road and sewer are in the best condition possible with as little disruption to local residents as possible.”
