THE former DA Green site is Whaplode has gone up for sale with an asking price of £1.5million.

Buyers also have the chance to buy a separate 0.87 acre car park for about £100,000.

The premises are being offered for sale by property agents King Sturge on behalf of the joint administrators, who were called in to DA Green last October.

Ninety-eight staff lost their jobs when the steelwork and cladding company ran into “severe cash-flow problems”

The main site covers about ten acres and boasts a number of interconnecting and stand-alone industrial buildings with two-storey offices.

A spokesman for King Sturge said: “It is still early days – the site only went on the market two or three weeks ago – but we have already had some interest.”
