Injured motor cyclist has surgery after Crowland road crash

UPDATE FRIDAY 10.45AM: A man aged in his 30s has undergone surgery in hospital this morning after a crash between a motorbike and a van in Crowland.

The injured man was riding a Mini Moto which collided with a white Ford Transit van in James Street during the early hours of yesterday morning.

Serious leg injuries were suffered by the motor cyclist who underwent surgery at Addenbrooke’s Hospital, Cambridge, where he remains today.

A 20-year-old woman from Crowland and a 39-year-old man from Lancashire arrested in connection with the accident have been given police bail until May 9.

THURSDAY 9.30AM: A man is seriously injured in hospital and two people are under arrest following an accident in Crowland this morning.

The crash happened in James Street at 2.20am and involved a van and a Mini Moto.

The rider of the Mini Moto, a man in his 30s, sustained serious leg injuries and was taken to hospital in Peterborough before being transferred to the major trauma unit at Addenbrooke’s Hospital, Cambridge.

Police say they arrested a man of 39 from Lancashire and a 20-year-old woman from Crowland who are currently helping with inquiries.

The injured man is from Lancashire.
