Terry and Judy Wing received their EMIB certificate after winning the Frank Constable MBE Gold Award for Best Residential Garden as category winners.

There were also certificates for Pete and Steph Williams of The Punchbowl, winners of a Gold Award in the Best Pub/Hotel Garden or Display category, as well as Vernatts Nature Reserve, between Spalding and Pinchbeck, for the Best Wildflower or Conservation Area.

Coun Angela Newton who, along with George Slinger of Birchgrove Garden Centre, Pinchbeck, presented the awards at the home and gardening retailer on Friday, said: “We thought it would be nice to present Terry and Judy with their gold certificate as they weren’t at the EMIB awards day in Mansfield.

“Also, Pete and Steph Williams of The Punchbowl weren’t able to be there and so we gave them their gold certificate as well.

“We plan to get the chairman of South Holland District Council, Coun Michael Seymour, to present staff at Vernatts Nature Reserve with their gold certificate as well at a future council meeting.” Photo (TIM WILSON): SG300916-112TW.
