Spalding Rail Station improvements set to be ready for September, says Network Rail

Major work worth about £2.5million to improve accessibility at Spalding Rail Station, including a new lift, will now be completed in September, it has been confirmed today.

Engineers from Network Rail have been working at the railway station to install a lift between the two platforms, as well as footbridge lighting and extra CCTV cameras since December 2019.

But the need to for social distancing measures during the COVID-19 emergency has slowed progress on making the station easier for passengers to use.
