Ignoring yellow peril outside McDonald’s

Have your say

Lincolnshire Co-op has painted double yellow lines on the access road to its Holbeach Road filling station in Spalding, but drivers are still parking there to go for a burger at McDonalds.

The Co-op declined to comment on the lines – or say how they will be policed on private land.

McDonald’s say its new side-by-side drive-thru meant one parking space was lost but it has no plans “to extend the car park at the present time”.

A spokesman said a 90-minute parking restriction has been introduced to ensure there is always adequate space for customers. SG271213-239TW
