RAIN followed by sunshine made for the perfect conditions at this year’s Long Sutton Horse and Pony Show.

The annual Cinder Ash Park event, ran in association with the Lincolnshire Co-Op, featured a full day of events with a host of classes and categories for horses and dogs.

Show secretary Eunice Artaman said: “The rain on the Friday night and sunshine with the accompanying light breeze on the day itself made ideal weather conditions for the show.

“We had a good number of entries all round, but especially in the showjumping classes this year together with nine absolutely incredible entries in the Mounted Fancy Dress competition.”

Proceeds from the dog show will go to the Hearing Dogs for the Deaf while money from the horse section, thought to be about £1,000, will go to local charities to be decided at a later date.
