Long Sutton beat Lutton in their second annual cricket challenge on Sunday – but the real winner was charity, with £1,546.33 to be split between three deserving recipients.
On a beautiful, sunny day at Paradise Field, Sutton gained revenge for last year’s defeat before over 150 people went back to the Jolly Crispin in Lutton for a barbecue and disco.
Half of the money raised will go to the cricket club and the other half will be split between Lutton Church and Macmillan Nurses.
Thanks go to JH Proctor, Nene Potatoes, A Palmer and Son, Nick Barrett Glass and Windows, Ken and Nanette at the Crispin and a generous anonymous donator.
Wonderful raffle prizes were given by Long Sutton Co-op, Parkways, Pledgers, Henrys, Time Out, Spalding Farm Shop, Wendy and Dave, L Secker, Chateau Belle Beauty Salaon, Boyes and many more.
