A NEW women’s choir has been launched in Spalding and meets for the first time next week.

A Handful of Harmonies was formed when a group of friends rehearsing for a summer music show, decided they wanted to sing all year round.

Inspired by the impressive response in Langtoft, groups were soon set up in Bourne and Peterborough, and in 2012 have been followed by groups in Market Deeping and Stamford and a junior mixed group “A Handful of Harminis”.

A Handful of Harmonies is not yet a year old, the sessions are great fun and the singing is inspired.

The first Spalding session is on Friday, June 1, at The Ivo Day Centre on Albion Street.
