House blaze in Thurlby

A house in Thurlby was badly damaged by fire and smoke at the weekend.

Fire crews from three stations, Bourne, Market Deeping and Spalding, were called to a house in Beck Way, near Lawrance Park, at about 10.10am on Saturday.

Two water hose reels and a main jet were used to put out the fire by crews who wore breathing gear.

A bedroom and its contents were severely damaged and there was also smoke damage to the first floor.
