Spalding Travelodge reopens at Springfields Outlet Shopping and Leisure
UK budget hotel chain Travelodge has announced the reopening of its site in Spalding after lockdown.
Spalding Travelodge, on the site of Springfields Outlet Shopping and Leisure off Camelgate, is among 100 of the group's hotels to welcome guests as part of a multi-million pound COVID-19 safety and social distance programme.
TravelodgeProtect+ is a programme of cleaning and social distancing measures, in line with government guidance, now in place at the Spalding site.
It includes the use of an antiviral disinfectant throughout hotel rooms, additional post-cleaning checks, thermal disinfecting of linen and towels, hand sanitisers, protective reception screens and new signage to mark social distance points throughout the hotel, including the check-in.
Shakila Ahmed, Travelodge's director of communications, said: "The hotel is open for business from this week and the team is set for a busy summer season as we welcome customers back.
"With safety at the forefront of our business, we have worked closely with our hotel teams that stayed open during the lockdown, government and industry bodies to develop our new COVID-19 safety programme called TravelodgeProtect+.
"This safety programme is designed to keep our customers and teams safe and has been implemented at all Travelodge hotels."
