Caroline Peach, Head of Retail, St Barnabas Hospice, said: "Fortunately, the alarm and security system meant the offenders chose to leave the scene without taking any money or goods. There was, however, minor damage caused to the interior of the shop and the window they used to break in.

"It is such a shame that we have been targeted in this way just before Christmas, but we are glad the cost to the charity is minimal.

"The case is now with Lincolnshire Police and we hope anyone with more information will come forward to help ensure this doesn’t happen again.”
