The Tesco store in Holbeach had two action-packed days of fundraising for Carter’s Park last weekend.

The aim was to raise funds to help the renovation project of the local park and the events of Friday, July 29, and Saturday, July 30, raised £811.98, giving a total of roughly £3,000 raised out of a £15,000 target.

Tesco Holbeach Community Champion, Beki Wellard, said: “A highlight of Friday was having Xtra Mile entertainment in store who came in to greet the children as Paw Patrol and Mickey and Minnie Mouse, which got a fantastic response.

“These fundraisers for Carter’s Park are really important to us as a store as it’s something which us as colleagues are very passionate about and something which benefits everybody local to the store.”

There was a raffle, a cake stall and hook-a-duck with a guaranteed prize.

There was also a colouring competition and a treasure hunt, both with a prize of a £10 Tesco gift voucher.
