CHILDREN at Holbeach St Marks Primary School have been helping to bless a tractor and plough.
The youngsters in class one joined in a blessing service for the machinery belonging to farmer Phil Duffy when it was taken to school for them to have a closer look.
The visit ties in with the work on transport the class have been doing this term.
The Rev Rosemary Goddard led the service and taught the children a poem about planting seeds.
Headteacher Karyn Wiles said: “The children see the tractors in the fields all the time but it’s not often that they get to see one so close and to climb inside. They were so excited that they had sat inside.”
