A team from Bakkavor’s central microbiology laboratory in Holbeach St Marks has raised £850 for their chosen charity, Jerry Green Dog Rescue.

The laboratory team raised funds through holding a number of events in 2017, including a car wash, plant sale and a lucky dip.

Senior laboratory technician Marianne Daly said: “For such as small team, I’m so proud of the money we have raised for this worthwhile local cause.

“We’re delighted we can help the charity in their work to provide dog welfare and rehoming.”

The South Lincolnshire Jerry Green Dog Rescue Centre is based in Algarkirk.

Centre manager Jo Hickson said: “The donation will go towards the centre refurbishment.

“We are building a new training facility that will incorporate gardens for the dogs to play and meet and match rooms where the new owners can meet with the dogs in a controlled, safe and stress-free environment.

“Thank you Bakkavor for all your fantastic support over the years.”
