These three brothers, the sons of Mr and Mrs J Marshall, of Holbeach, were pictured in these newspapers in 1916.

Two had enlisted in the 7th Lincolns in 1914, and the other had joined up since.

They were (from left) Pte James Henry (18), Abraham Charles (29), and Pte Albert Edward (20).

Private James Henry had been badly wounded in the neck; Pte Albert had just been home on six days’ leave from the firing line.
