Spalding's Ayscoughfee Hall gates taken away for restoration work

The gates at the front of Spalding’s Ayscoughfee Hall have been taken down for restoration work.

A South Holland District Council spokesman confirmed that the gets are having restoration and cleaning work.

The project is being led by Chain Bridge Forge - with a video on social media showing the team taking them down.

There is not yet a date set for the gates’ return - but it is expected that the work will take about three weeks.

This is the latest in a series of jobs done to the hall and gardens - and the cafe is soon set to reopen.
