The race is on to return a missing rabbit to its Spalding home before her owner returns from university for the holidays.

Paul Berry says ‘New Bunny’ – they’ve had her five years but never came up with a name – disappeared from the garden in Saxon Close some time between Friday and Saturday.

The grey lion head bunny belongs to 18-year-old Jake, but dad Paul says: “I have not told my lad. He’s at uni and he will be upset when I tell him. We had her as a tiny thing.”

Paul describes New Bunny as quite large, and not very bright. He said: “She lives in the back garden only she dug her way out. It’s the first time she’s got out. Normally she just digs holes.”

Anyone who has found New Bunny should ring Paul on 07786 381145.
