A large volumes of 'holiday traffic' is causing long delays on the A17 this afternoon.

Data from the AA suggests motorists can already expect delays of up to half an hour between Sutterton Roundabout and the Moulton Seas End junction - with queues set to get longer toward the end of the working day.

Queues up to Sutterton Roundabout are also affecting motorists on the A16 heading from the Spalding direction.

Heavier-than-normal traffic has been a regular fixture on Fridays - with the rise of UK holidays sparked by Covid said to have increased pressure on roads heading to the Norfolk coast.

Today's traffic will include motorists heading away for the Bank Holiday - which is also the last weekend before the school summer holidays end.
