Bingo fundraisers have raised £500 to help keep the life-saving air ambulance in the sky.
Weston Hills bingo has been going for around eight or nine years but over the past year members decided to donate the money raised to a charity.
Wyn James, one of the fundraisers, said every time the bingo collects £500, they pick a charity out of a hat to decide who will get the money.
So far, Macmillan Cancer Support and a pancreatic cancer charity have received cheques but this time it went to Lincolnshire and Nottinghamshire Air Ambulance.
Wyn said the air ambulance is a fantastic organisation that can get to an emergency within just 15 minutes of receiving a call.
Heather Chambers (pictured front, left), from the air ambulance, was presented with the cheque and was surprised at the amount of money such a small group had raised and was very grateful for all their hard work.
Around 25-28 people attend bingo sessions at Weston Hills Village Hall, which are held on the second Saturday of the month, staring at 7pm.
The group would welcome more people to join them. Photo: SG120316-164TW
