A woman from a village near Boston has dropped seven dress sizes after losing more than 10 and a half stone in four years.
Gill White, 65, from Kirton, has gone from a size 30-32 to a size 18, and now weighs 13 stone, four pounds.
Gill joined Slimming World in 2012, but left for a year and returned in November 2015.
She had always been active, but being diagnosed with rheumatoid arthritis made things difficult.
As well as her arthritis, four years ago Gill was also told she had diabetes, but she is now in remission.
After quitting work and moving to a bungalow in Kirton, Gill checked her weight at home and found she weighed 23-and-a-half-stone.
I am so happy, I wish I’d done it years ago. It has changed my lifeGill White
Returning to Slimming World, Gill said: “I never thought I’d stick at it.” But she found the weight gradually began to come off.
Gill is now the proud owner of two wardrobes full of new clothes. She said: “Before, for clothes you had to get what you could get, but now you get what you’d like to wear.
“I’m wearing leggings for the first time in my life.”
A special mention should be given to Sarah Lote, consultant for Wyberton Slimming World.
Gill said: “Sarah has been a real help and everyone has been very supportive.”
Gill intends to continue with her healthier diet and said: “I never want to go back to where I was.”
