With mental health issues affecting one-in-four people each year, no one should be ashamed to talk about them. That’s the message being promoted by the charity Time to Change.

To help get the nation and Spalding talking about mental health, Give It Some Fizz Fitness, Sports and Education will be hosting a coffee morning at Ayscoughfee Hall for Time to Talk Day on Thursday, February 4.

The coffee morning will run from 10.30am until noon and is completely free for people to drop in and have a chat about mental health. The chat could be as simple as asking someone how they are feeling that day.

People can also find out where they can go for more support about mental health issues.

Zoe Myall, from Give It Some Fizz, said: “People sometimes find it difficult to talk about mental health issues although a lot of us at some time in our lives can feel that the world is on top of us.

“This is about talking about how you are feeling and getting support, instead of feeling you have to bottle everything up.

“We would like to invite anybody who would like to come along to join us on February 4 to share a cup of tea or coffee and chat.”
