A free health course is being offered in Spalding to individuals who fear they may be at risk of Type 2 diabetes.
Lincolnshire Community and Voluntary Service health trainers are running the six-week course, 10am to midday, beginning on Friday, July 17.
Risk factors for diabetes include being overweight, having a high body mass index, having a large waist and having a close relative who suffers diabetes.
The course, at unit 6, Broadgate House, Spalding (behind the Job Centre), aims to enable individuals to take control of their own health.
The course will include information on sugars and carbohydrates, portion sizes, food labelling, cooking, benefits of being active and other free services/events available.
