SPALDING’S Church Street Surgery is to move to its new £900,000 home at the weekend.
The 13,000 patients of the clinic are being reminded that the move will affect appointments on Friday and Monday, when the surgery will be open to deal with urgent patient requests only.
Dr David Corlett said: “On Friday we will still be based at the existing Church Street premises and from Monday we will be located at the new practice, just a stone’s throw away in Beechfield Gardens.
“The phone number will remain the same and patients can call to speak to reception staff and arrange a call back from one of the doctors.
“Routine appointments will continue as normal from Tuesday.
“On behalf of the surgery I would like to thank patients for their understanding during this time of disruption to our services.
“The new practice will allow us to offer better services in a modern environment with better car parking facilities.”
The project to relocate the Church Street surgery to the former Spalding Health Clinic has taken ten months to complete. It has involved demolishing the front part of the old building to make way for new accommodation and refurbishment of the ground and first floor.
The new surgery boasts modern facilities, a spacious waiting area, as well as improved parking.
Dr Corlett added: “We are very excited about this move as it is an opportunity to improve and increase the services we provide for our patients.”
