The summer holidays are almost upon us… so what to do with the kids?
The summer holidays are almost upon us… so what to do with the kids? We’ve got it all covered at the South Holland Centre!
Brand new to the South Holland Centre this year is Jazzpac Summer School supported by Lincolnshire Music Education Hub on Thursday and Friday, August 25 and 26. Working towards a short gig to family and friends, 11 to 19 year-olds at Grade 4 ability and above can develop their skills playing jazz and improvised music alongside professional jazz musicians.
Earlier in the holidays, Act II Theatre Company is running a Dinosaurs Drama Day for 4 to 7s on July 28. In addition, Act II Theatre Company is running two youth theatre weeks for 7 to 14s with a Voyage of the Dawn Treader theme from August 8, and King Arthur and the Knights of the Round Table from August 15. Children aged 8 to 11 can create their very own work of art in two hour Create Club sessions running on August 1 and 22; while accompanied 2 to 11s can explore an exciting range of arts and crafts on Monday, August 22. Time is running out for under 25s to help with the organisation of Youth Takeover’s annual town centre music festival Music in The Market Place. Young people interested in getting involved in this fabulous event should contact Tamsyn Webley email@example.com
Meanwhile at just £5.50 per person for a 2D matinee, a trip to the movies is a popular affordable treat for many families during the long holidays.
