The Flinders Founders organisation held a Halloween party to raise money for the Teen Park last Friday.

The party, held at Donington Community Centre, offered a variety of fun-filled activities for all the attendees to get involved in.

A game of bingo got the ball rolling, then guests had a meal of bangers and mash, followed by jelly and ice cream. There was traditional apple bobbing as well as a fancy dress competition and pumpkin carving. Elliot Moran organised the music for the disco.

Flinders Founders secretary, Margaret Wright, said: “It was massively successful with a huge turn-out, people made such an effort to wear wonderful costumes. We would like to say how grateful we are to Mr Bowman for suppling us with his pumpkins for our competition.” Margaret estimated the money they raised was around £400.

The BMX track at the Teen Park is in need of some TLC so the money raised from the party will go towards resurfacing and extending the track.

Flinders Founders will be selling glow sticks at Donington’s Firework display on November 2.
