Half term fishy fun in Spalding

The Half Term programme for children and families has a fishy feel to it – inspired by a special live performance called Bleu!, when children can meet a giant floating fish and robot crabs.

The audience will be transported to the heart of a magical ocean voyage: meeting mermaids, molluscs and mysterious ancient ruins along the way. Italian production company Compagnia TPO has harnessed the latest digital technology to project beach and undersea scenes, making the audience feel right at the centre of the action. Youngsters will have the opportunity to take part, interacting with small treasures that have washed ashore.

Some of the most entrancing and visually stunning theatre around is being made for family audiences, and Bleu! is right up there. But you don’t have to take our word for it – a Neighbourhood Moms reviewer recently enthused, ‘Bleu! was a theatre experience like none other, and my boys absolutely LOVED it. I highly recommend going’. Bleu! is for families with children aged 4+ and is being performed at South Holland Centre on Friday, October 30 (2pm). Tickets are £7.50 or £26 for a family ticket. All ticketholders are invited to arrive at the centre from 12.30pm to make a wobbly jellyfish and hear some fishy tales, extras that are free to everyone coming to the show.

Before then, children aged seven to 12 can spend two days devising a deep sea adventure with ACT II Theatre Company on Tuesday and Wednesday, October 27 and 28. The culmination of their ‘under the sea’ fun will be a performance to family and friends on the Wednesday. The cost for both days is £25 per child or £45 for two siblings.
