Children will be spoilt for choice with entertainment at a summer fayre after Lincolnshire Coop donated £975 to the organisers.

A circus skills workshop, Punch and Judy shows, fair rides, bouncy castles, giant Jenga,Connect 4 and limbo are just some of the activities kids can get stuck into at Holbeach Midsummer Fayre.

The free event takes place in Carter’s Park, on Sunday, June 23, and will also feature craft stalls, a mobile museum and a dog show.

Organiser and Rotary Club member Helen Scott said: “The grant has made such a huge difference. Having children’s entertainment gives that little bit extra which is going to attract more people and give a party atmosphere.”

The Rotary Club had wanted to provide a summer fete for the community which was inclusive for everybody.

Chairman of the Rotary Club Don Scott described the donation as a “complete enabler”.

“The money from Lincolnshire Co-op has allowed us to give young children and families something to look forward to and without it we’d be a bit lost really. We’d like to thank everyone who gave it to us and we’ll make the best of it we can.”
