Families at St John the Baptist Church, Spalding, welcomed a special guest to their Sunday morning services as work continues on improving the building.
The Archdeacon of Boston, Rev Dr Justine Allain-Chapman (47), joined families and church leaders at St John’s for both its Cool Communion and main parish services.
Mrs Allain-Chapman, who is married with four children, became Archdeacon of Boston in September 2013 when she became responsible for about 160 churches in the area.
“I have been coming to this area for quite some time as my parents live in Pinchbeck and I trained for ministry in Lincoln in the early 1990s, so I have some familiarity and links with the area which have helped me on my visits here,” Mrs Allain-Chapman said.
“My hope for the Diocese of Lincoln is that we will continue to be faithful in our worship, confident in our discipleship and joyful in our service so that the people of Lincolnshire can have their lives deepened and transformed.”
