Spalding golf 'Chase the Ace' challenge raises £4,500 for NHS

Spalding Golf Club professional Adam Keogh is on course to better his fundraising for the NHS by more than 50 per cent after an influx of support.

Adam's "Chase the Ace for the NHS", where he challenged himself to go from golf tee to hole in just one shot, had an initial aim of raising £2,500 for NHS Charities Together.

But donations and sponsorship pledged since the charity golf day on July 10 has taken the total raised to about £4,500.

A message posted on social media by the golf club shortly after the event said: "Incredibly proud of Adam after completing his Chase the Ace challenge, raising over £4,000 for the NHS.

"Some great shots in tricky conditions and although one went in the hole, it popped straight back out again.

"Thank you to everyone who came to support it and also to all who kindly donated to Adam's fundraising effort, it's most appreciated."
