Medal success for Tydd St Mary pupils

By Spalding Reporter

Youngsters struck gold and silver in a Danish Longball contest at Holbeach Primary Academy.

Two teams from Tydd St Mary Primary School were invited to compete and the year 2/3 team won gold medals and the year 4/5 team carried off silver medals.

A school spokesman said the children had never competed at the sport - a cross between rounders and dodge ball - before, but they all showed great enthusiasm and had a fantastic day.
