Sir John Gleed School kept the memory of ex-student Callum Pite alive in spectacular fashion by raising more than £2,500 for a charity bearing his name.

Students and staff held a charity afternoon in aid of Callum Pite’s Smile Charity and the money raised was presented to the brave teenager’s mum Michelle by acting headteacher Will Scott.

Michelle said: “I was honoured to attend the charity afternoon and felt very proud of all the children for all the effort they put into the afternoon.

“I would like to thank everyone who was involved in raising such a fantastic amount for Callum Pite’s Smile Charity.”
