LEARN MORERetailers will be giving more than 900 presents to vulnerable children thanks to a gift tree.
Springfields Outlet Shopping and Leisure are running a gifting tree in the site’s Marks and Spencer store.
The tree has tags on it with a name and age, so customers can simply buy a present in any shop, select a tag, attach to the present and drop into the box.
All presents received will then be delivered to local children and vulnerable adults that would normally go without over the festive season.
So far the scheme has raised over 900 presents, they hope to double that over the next few days as it ends on December 17.
South Holland district councillor Rob Gibson is appealing for people to support the initiative to help a child.
He said: “Please assist us to reach the target and help give a glimmer of hope to someone’s Christmas.”
