PEOPLE have been showing off their artistic streak by getting involved in an Olympic-inspired mosaic project in South Holland.

Artist Fiona Gurney has been travelling round the district encouraging everyone to get involved by adding their own piece to one of five pieces of art.

The mosaics have been designed by students from University Academy Holbeach.

All five, which incorporate the Olympic colours, are linked but will only go on display together for the first time in Holbeach on July 4 – the day the Olympic torch relay passes through the district.

After the event a decision will be made as to where the mosaics will be permanently displayed.

It is still not too late to add your tile to the mosaics – Fiona will be at Whaplode Heraldic Suite tomorrow (May 30), Moulton Community Centre (June 14, 15 and 16), Long Sutton Market House (June 20, 22 and 23) and Ayscoughfee Hall Museum, Spalding, (June 27, 28 and 29). All session are from 10am to 3pm.
