Advice and information on services to improve health and well-being are to be showcased at six South Holland libraries.
The libraries are holding events for people to learn more about keeping fit, happy and healthy, as well the local services that can offer a helping hand.
Libraries’ site co-ordinator Sue Richardson said: “Most of the week’s sessions will focus on improving lifestyles, with advice and information on hand from a range of charities, organisations and services.
“Some of those services are aimed at supporting independent lifestyles for the county’s most vulnerable and will be of particular interest to people with health conditions and disabilities, as well as carers.
“Youngsters can learn something too with story-time sessions featuring Dirty Bertie, whose shockingly filthy habits will help put across the importance of good personal hygiene, while Spalding Library will have a story-time visit from Bookstart Bear.
“Seriously healthy belly-laughs are also on offer, with fun entertainment from the Pestiferous Theatre Company.”
The Health and Wellbeing events are taking place at various dates and times from Monday, September 9 until Friday, September 13.
They are taking place at libraries in Pinchbeck, Donington, Long Sutton, Holbeach, Spalding, Kirton and Crowland.
