A talk on Plate Tectonics and the Rock Cycle is being given at Ayscoughfee Hall Museum in Spalding on Friday (2pm).

Helen Claire Gould, who specialised in Volcanology, Plate Tectonics and Planetary Science as part of the research for her science fiction fantasy novel Floodtide – currently on sale at Bookmark in the town – is giving the talk as part of Family Learning Weekends.

The workshop, with rock samples for everyone to look at, is free, but it’s a ticketed event so book places at the museum or on 01775 764555.
