Gemma's move to Spalding gym thanks to lockdown opportunity
A Spalding gym will welcome a brand new personal trainer when it reopens on Saturday.
Gemma Catlin will be joining the team at Smudge Fitness, on Cradge Bank, as part of a move from Universal Fitness Centre in Bourne.
Gemma (35), who has been involved with the centre in Bourne since she was 16, says it's time for a change.
She said: "The opportunity came out of the blue! I went to check out the outside gym - as you can only do so much at home - and had a chat with another PT there about CrossFit. Then Jack Smith got in touch with me and that was it.
"I have a really good client base in Bourne and it's been really emotional talking to them about my decision. But now is the right time to do this - the pandemic has shown that life is too short and you've got to grab the bull by the horns."
Gemma, who has experience in cardiac rehab, will be offering personal training sessions to men and women of all different abilities at the gym. She added: "The gym looks great and I'm mega excited to feeling part of a team!"
