Spalding High School student Georgie achieves 12 Grade 9 GCSEs




Years of effort have paid off for a Spalding High School student who achieved 12 high GCSE grades.

Georgie Van Dyke celebrated her excellent haul of 12 Grade 9 GCSEs by enjoying a pizza in Ayscoughfee Hall Gardens with her friend this morning before volunteering in the afternoon.

She said: "It was amazing. I have always worked so hard and put in a lot of effort so it was nice that had all paid off and I came away with such great results.

"I had hoped to get such good results but I wasn't too sure what I would be coming away with. I was surprised."

Georgie (16), who lives in Sutton St James, will be remaining at the high school to study for A-Levels in maths, further maths, physics and chemistry.

She said: "I do love maths. It has always been my favourite subject."

Georgie is determined to go to university.

She said: "I would like to something with physics and science. I have been doing an online astro physics courses and I do find that interesting but I also really enjoy maths."
