Springfields Bike Show attracts best-ever numbers

The biggest-ever crowd for its popular annual motorbike show pulled into Springfields last weekend.

It is the 33rd year of the event - and plans are already underway for next year's show.

Organiser Claire Lunn said: "We have had some absolutely lovely feedback and we had more visitors than last year. It is so well supported locally."

Racing champion Steve Plater was master of ceremonies at the two-day event and he interviewed Superbike rider Brad Ray and TT legend Roger Marshall on both days.

Members of around 10 clubs brought along their bikes to show off and companies such as Webbs Triumph, of Peterborough, also brought along two-wheeled exhibits.

There was a classic bike display in the marquee, while organisations such as the Institute of Advanced Motorists and Lincs Road Safety Partnership gave riders advice on how best to stay safe.

"We are already well under way for next year's show, which will be on January 19 and 20, 2020," added busy Claire, who organises the show as her hobby alongside her full-time job.
