Funding success means Holbeach old folk can cash in on fun

More events for old folk in Holbeach are on their way after a successful funding bid to Lincolnshire County Council.

South Holland District Councillor Tracey Carter secured the £2,000 grant from the Community Development Fund and will now be able to follow on from previous events she has arranged, including a free Christmas meal and also a Royal Wedding-themed afternoon tea.

She said: "Knowing that I have this fund available to assist with the costs will be of huge benefit and will mean I can host more events than I originally thought."

Social isolation is a big focus for Tracey and she strongly believes that for most of us, some form of interaction and having fun can assist with health and wellbeing.

“The pleasure these events have brought to people has been immense and I look forward to arranging some more very soon."

Future events will be publicised in the Lincolnshire Free Press, Spalding Guardian and online at spaldingtoday.co.uk
