Moulton John Harrox Primary School's fun night success

By Pete Woodhouse

More than £2,500 will benefit the education of Moulton primary school pupils after a fun-filled annual fundraiser.

The 'Fun Night' was organised by Friends of John Harrox Primary School and the money raised will go towards purchasing new iPads for pupils.

Activities and attractions in the school grounds included a barbecue, assault course, inflatables and bouncy castle, as well as various other games for pupils. Meanwhile, a craft fair was also especially held this year.

Lisa Edgeley, chair of Friends of John Harrox Primary School, said: "We raised £2,550 and there will be a bit more to come in.

"The money goes into whatever the school needs that year and this year there are 30 new iPads that need upgrading. They're not cheap – around £11,000.

"We also thank all the sponsors who put money towards the inflatables and raffle prizes."

Local firefighters also attended as well as South Holland and The Deepings MP John Hayes, who traditionally opens the event.
