TYDD St Mary headteacher Sonya Ripley works in an office next door to the hall where class after class enjoyed workshops with Act II’s Junk Band.
Mrs Ripley said: “It was very loud but it was really, really wonderful for the children as Act II worked with every class from reception through to Year 6.
“Most of us went home with a little bit of a headache but the children had the time of their lives. They really did enjoy it.”
Youngsters played “instruments” such as shopping trolleys, oil drums, car wheels and big plastic containers.
The day was funded by the school’s PTA and its tireless work allows pupils to enjoy lots of different educational experiences.
