It was certainly a glamorous evening when 260 ladies attended a ball held by St Barnabas Lincolnshire Hospice.

The annual Lipstick and Champagne Ladies Ball was held at Springfields Event Centre on Saturday.

It was organised by community events fundraiser Vikki Alan.

The event was previously held at the South Holland Centre but due to the ball’s popularity the venue had to be moved.

Tickets cost £35 which went towards the Hospice and approximately £2,400 has been counted so far from the fundraising.

The ball began at 6:45pm and the ladies went on dancing until 1am! Juliette Wilson, a bride-to-be, celebrated her hen party at the event.

There was a champagne reception, a three-course meal and entertainment provided by live band ‘Wild Boys featuring The Look’.

On the menu for starters was an antipasti sharing dish, main course was chicken with leek and bacon, followed by a trio of desserts. A black and pink theme had everyone dressed up in their glad rags.
