Normandy veteran Derrick Lister was flanked by the youngest wreath layers - Spalding High School pupils Felicity Barwell and Sam Mackey (both 17) – at the 60th anniversary of the D-Day landings.

Second World War veterans were joined on parade by people of all ages at the event organised by the Royal Naval Association (RNA).

The parade mustered in Spalding’s Market Place before marching to Ayscoughfee Gardens and the town’s war memorial.

Youngsters from the air cadets, brownies and guides also took part in the commemorations.

Twenty-two regimental and association standards were inspected and RNA padre, the Rev John Moon, conducted the service.
