Pupils from Thomas Cowley High School at Donington were presenting a cheque to British Heart Foundation chairman of the Spalding and District branch Keith Woods and his wife Pauline.

They took part in an annual sponsored skip to raise £4,000 for the charity, the highest amount to date.

Mr Woods said he was delighted to accept the cheque and said: “I have been chairman for four years now and the school has supported the charity all that time. The amount they have raised is unbelievable and the children were thrilled.”

The money would help people from south Lincolnshire, he said.
