FREE PRESS AND GUARDIAN/JERRY GREEN APPEAL: Rescuers help Bonnie find her forever home
Thanks to everyone who is supporting our appeal to help Jerry Green build new dog kennels at its South Lincolnshire rescue centre.
The centre, based at Algarkirk, needs to raise £200,000 overall to refurbish its kennels, which have become tired and out-of-date.
We want to raise £4,000, with the help of our readers, to build the first new kennel for the block.
And we’ve been meeting some of the dogs that the centre is helping to find new homes.
This week we meet Bonnie.
She was taken in by volunteers at the rescue centre after her previous owner could no longer cope with her.
When she first came into the centre she was very worried and overwhelmed.
Staff did rehome her once but unfortunately it didn’t work out for her so she was returned.
Then she met her new owner Angie Crowther and they haven’t looked back since.
Angie said: “Bonnie is the second dog we’ve adopted from Jerry Green’s and both times the staff were so helpful to make sure the adoption goes as smoothly as possible.
“Bonnie settled in very well and she is such a loving dog.
“To see her happy and running free on our walks and making new friends is a joy.
“We are so happy to have Bonnie with us in what will be her forever home. She completes our family.”
