Spalding car parking is free for key workers
Key workers will be able to park for free in Spalding.
South Holland District Council is making all of its car parks in the district free of charge for the next two weeks, to help protect and support frontline workers and volunteers during the coronavirus efforts.
All council parking charges have been suspended from tomorrow (Friday, March 27) until Saturday April 11.

A council statement says: "The fees have been waived to show support for key workers at this time - including staff from the NHS, social care and other essential services - and help them to carry on their important duties. It also protects key council workers and will give them increased opportunities to focus on maintaining other services across the District.
"Following Government advice, all other residents are urged to continue staying at home if they are not carrying out essential work or travel."
The situation going forward from 11 April onwards will be reviewed. Season ticket holders will have the length of their tickets extended to reflect this change. Residents are urged to park sensibly and to follow other parking restrictions which are still in place. This is essential to ensure the free flow of traffic.
